The leather along with the foam absorb a lot of vibrations while on the ride.Leather being a natural material also naturally absorb your sweat and hence provide a better grip while riding. 1. The leather: Every leather grip goes through  an antifungal treatment. Having said that,it is advisable if your grips do get wet to pat them gently with a dry hand towel and then they will eventually dry out naturally depending on the weather.

2. The 3m sticking tape: This grade of tape is waterproof so even if your grips get wet it will still hold the grip firmly to the handle bar.
